Rev. Aubrey K. Wimbish, Associate Minister
 

Aubrey K. Wimbish, Sr. was born on September 1, 1947 in Washington, D. C., to the late Eppie Y. and Lydia T. Wimbish, Sr.  He has 5 brothers and 7 sisters. He attended public schools in Washington, D. C.; graduating from Cardozo Senior High School 1965. He is married to Jennifer A. Wimbish and they have 6 children (4 boys and 2 girls). 

In his childhood, he was baptized at the Mt. Joy Baptist Church in Washington, D. C.  There began his Christian labor; serving as an Usher, Trustee and in 1985 he answered God's calling to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. He preached his Initial Sermon and Licensed in 1985 and was Ordained in 1991.
 
Aubrey served as the Youth Pastor at the Community Bible Baptist Church for 8 yrs.; as Pastor of Greater Faith Missionary Baptist Church for 13yrs.; and now serving as Pastor of Evangelism at Community Bible Baptist Church, where he labors to this day.  He humbly serves his Church and the Christian community through his preaching and teaching.   
 
He graduated from the Washington Baptist Seminary in Washington, D. C. in 1989.  He also matriculated in Christian University in Missouri, Maple Springs Bible College in Maryland and Howard University's School of Divinity in Washington, DC.  He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Theology (B.A. Th.) and a Master's Degree in Divinity (M-Div).
 
His education and experiences has enabled him to render time and talent as an instructor at the Washington Baptist Theological Seminary, teaching: Greek N.T., Homiletics, New Testament, Pastoral Care & Christian Counseling, Systematic Theology and World Religion 101. He is a substitute for: English, Eschatology.  He truly enjoys sharing all that he has learned about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  He has vowed to never cease pressing for a higher level of education and understanding in the sacred written Word of God.  For it is written "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."  2Tim. 2:15
